OK...so I am working on painting a Viking horse (I have yet to complete a horse...) - I always pick out a photo of a real horse, and then paint accordingly. I think it gives more realism, as each horse has a unique pattern by doing it this way.
I wanted to paint a white horse with an off-color mane...preferably a color of brown. As I was looking through photos of white horses, I came across this -
"A white horse is born black, while a black horse is born white"
Don't believe me? Look it up...it's a real fact. That's white you see white horses running with black foals.
